Valentine Skirt and Shirt Idea...

I just sewed a simple A-lined skirt with a hidden elastic waist, and added satin ribbon and the heart shaped satin roses that I made the other day.

For her shirt I just sewed the heart rose in the middle and then hot glued the red heart jewel on top of it.

Heart Shaped Burnt Satin Rose Tutorial...

So I have never seen anyone make heart shaped burnt satin roses, but I'm sure they're out there somewhere.
I folded some satin in half and cut three sizes of hearts for each clip.

Then it's easiest if you use a candle and slowly get the edges close to the flame without making it turn black but enough to make it curl up.
Then dab some hot glue in between each petal.

Then I covered some clippies with ribbon and I put felt in between to help the clippies from slipping out of my girls hair.
I loved how they turned out and they are perfect for Valentine's Day.  I made some more to attach to my girl'sValentine skirts and shirts.(Soon to come)
Perfect for little piggies :).

More Valentine's Day Ideas...

How adorable are these candy heart rings?  Over at While He Was Napping she shares how she made these from shopping at the dollar store.  My girls would love these!
I love this Valentine's Day centerpiece and over at Ordy and Joon she shows you how to place a glass cup inside the vase so that you keep the candy  seperate from the flowers.
I've been loving these cupcake liner wreaths that I've seen all over the web and at Tatertots and Jello she has a tutorial on how to make them.  She also has linked below her tutorial a ton of other peoples wreaths that tried it out.  Very fun and cheap!
Over at The Adventures of the Christensen's she shares this fun and creative "I Love You" Betty Crocker Chex mix recipe.

Valentine Decorating Ideas...

I love this Be Mine display designed by The Diary of Dave's Wife.  She wrapped the heart with red yarn so cute.
I love these heart cut out chocolate chip cookies.  Why didn't I ever think to do that.  And you can use the cute printables if you go to WHIPERBERRY

I really love this colorful mantel that you can check out in detail at Starshine Chic.  The hanging heart is made out of cupcake wrappers.

For those of you who love to "modge podge" check out this valentine mailbox.  I just saw these mailbox's in the dollar section at Target.  Now I want to make some for my girls.  Check them out at Fabulessly Crafty.

And if I wasn't in such a hazy first trimester pregnancy fog, I would have made a cute Valentine banner this year.  I'm starting to come out of it, yay!  But I love this fun mantle and banner designed by

Valentine Pillows...

Aren't these pillow so cute?  Check them out over at Felt So Cute.

I'm pregnant and not feeling too great, but I'm getting the Valentine Crafting Bug.  I've had a hard time motivating myself to actually make stuff lately, but hopefully I can accomplish a couple of things on my list.  Have a great day!
