So I've always wanted to make a car seat cover and when I found out I was having another girl I knew I needed to find out how to make one. One of the best do it yourself blogs that I have found is called Make it and Love it. This girl is crazy talented and takes the time to show you how to do so many things step by step. I used her car seat tutorial found HERE. Basically you take picture of your old car seat so you can remember what it looks like and then seam rip the whole thing apart, add your fabric, and put it back together. It was very tedious but I love the finished product. :)

I'm so happy to say I'm having another girl. My mind is spinning with all the ideas of things I want to make this little baby girl. So hopefully soon I will start accomplishing projects again. :)

Valentine Skirt and Shirt Idea...
I just sewed a simple A-lined skirt with a hidden elastic waist, and added satin ribbon and the heart shaped satin roses that I made the other day.
For her shirt I just sewed the heart rose in the middle and then hot glued the red heart jewel on top of it.

Heart Shaped Burnt Satin Rose Tutorial...
So I have never seen anyone make heart shaped burnt satin roses, but I'm sure they're out there somewhere.
I folded some satin in half and cut three sizes of hearts for each clip.
Then it's easiest if you use a candle and slowly get the edges close to the flame without making it turn black but enough to make it curl up.
Then dab some hot glue in between each petal.
Then I covered some clippies with ribbon and I put felt in between to help the clippies from slipping out of my girls hair.
I loved how they turned out and they are perfect for Valentine's Day. I made some more to attach to my girl'sValentine skirts and shirts.(Soon to come)
Perfect for little piggies :).

Fancy Nancy Party Idea...
My daughter was lucky enough to get invited to the cutest party I've ever seen. My good friend Liz let me use these pictures. The theme was a Fancy Nancy Party. Fancy Nancy is a book series with the cutest stories about a girl who loves to play dress up, pretend, and use big words and they teach what all these "fancy" words mean. When I dropped her off at this party I think my mouth was wide open. It was a little girls dream and I wanted to be a little girl at that moment :). Above are pictures from the entry when we walked in.
Seriously isn't this the cutest tea party?! And I love how all the tea sets were real glass. Made them feel like grown ups.
And of course, she had to have Fancy Nancy curtains.
Here is the cutest Fancy Nancy birthday girl.
I love the display of all the Fancy Nancy books.
I had to put one in here of my little Fancy Nancy :).
So fun they made bracelets, fairy wings,
painted each others nails, and did each other's make-up,
and made Fancy Crowns.
I was able to come a little early to pick up and my favorite was hearing Liz talking to them all in a Fancy Nancy English accent. Then they all got their very own goblet of ice-cream sundaes. As they were all getting picked up they had a fashion show in the front yard to music, so cute.
Such a fun and magical party!
