This is so simple and so cute. First, I just layed out the lace in a zig-zag fashion, and made a mental note :). I feel comfortable enough to sew without pinning, but if you don't then it's a good idea to pin it in place. Sew close the the straight edge of the lace and pull slightly on the tank material to make sure it doesn't get a gathered look.
So it was kind of annoying moving the tank material up and around and to keep it from overlapping, but just have patience and take your time.
Here's the finished product.
